Highlights in my 11-year stay at St. Scholastica's College

Yesterday marked the feast day of St. Scholastica. In honor of her, (I know, I should be doing this during the school's foundation day. But I'm in a reminscing mood now.), I will tell you about the highlights of my stay at St.Scho Manila.

Prep St. Reinildis - I made my first class cut at the tender young age of 6 years old!

1 St. Clotsindis and 2 St. Willibald - I sorry, I cant even remember what happened here. LOL It will come to me in the coming days.

3 St. Milburga - My first time to join a 3-day long trip to Ilocos Region. Fort Ilocandia Baby! I learned that I should open my camera when there's film inside, otherwise, Kodak will note "Exposed Film" in the package

4 St. Placid - I was asked to step out of the classroom because I was giving hand signals to my friend. First time to be part of the "star section". A Christmas Nightingale performace!!!

5 St. Lioba - I met my future bestfriend. I was part of the class' volleyball team but didn't play during the intramurals. Number 5! Another 3-day trip to Baguio!

6 St. Berno - Almost landed ingrade 7 but the universe did something, or the admin did some exemptions. whew!! A Midsummer Night's Dream, crazy production with  crazy issues. I learned not to comb my hair in public. It's cheap daw kasi.

1-A  I met my barkada for 7 years and counting.

2-I The whole year smelled like onion. HAHAHA!!  My first ever stage performance with me as one of main characters during the Afro-Asian Festival. Indiaaaa!! My class was shaken by Mr. Isidro's shout with matching banging on the table just because of the Dynastic Cyle and Fashion Cycle. Velcro!

3-Assertiveness 3-ASS in short. These classmates of mine taught me how to ride the bicycle on the CCP grounds. Opened my eyes to the new world! LOL. I went to Boracay for the first time with most of my barkada! F4 invasion!

4-Order One of the most disorder classes  of batch 2005, if not, the most teachers who walked out on us. Two of my "bestfriends" left me, one got pregnant, the other had to move to US. DC me, being Veyonce!!

It was a good 11 years, I must say.

My first

I just saw my first ever LIVE PBA game ever. And it was awesome! Thanks to my friend, Lanie, for giving me free tickets.

After watching Petron team lose, we headed over to Dillingers to cap off the work week.
I saw people I haven't seen for quite some time and some of them, it was my first time to talk to them even though I've met them before.

Lanie, Peachy and I ended the night at Whistlestop.

Day four: He starts to text and then He falls asleep. Repeat. I think that action of his is on loop. And then he messaged me on Facebook, sending a link about quarter-life crisis.

Just please stop.

Shifting ver 2

Day two: I saw a break and took it. Now I feel disappointed.

But yesterday, a friend of mine made my shifting bearable. Thank you, C!

I'll update you bit by bit about what happened for the past two months.

My highschool kabarkada, Mads, finally gave birth to a healthy baby girl last 4th of July. Her name is Alexa Sabine and she's so precious.

I cant wait to meet her!!

March Madness

So many things (i think) happened this month that I keep on forgetting (neglecting) to blog about it.

I finally started working as an executive assistant. I officially started during Art in the Park. Art in the Park was such a blast. It rained in the afternoon but the sky was clear as the sea. I wished I had lots of money to buy artworks. Buying artworks is such a huge investment especially when the artwork you bought is from an upcoming artist. Plus, Art in the Park participants sell artworks at a maximum of Php 30,000. Not bad, if you're able to buy works from Mark Justiniani, Marika Constantino and Iggy Rodriguez to name a few.

I met a guy during a job interview. Turned out, one of my bosses went to school with him. Old, right? He kept on texting me and calling me. I found out that he's married and even has two kids. Ano ako? No other woman?? But two of my highschool kabarkada told me to keep it going until I get something from him for the sheer fun and experience. Those two crazy girls!! But of course, I knew better. I stopped replying to his texts and then he stopped texting me.;)

Almost of my friends have jobs, my college friends! Pat on the back my friends!!!! Good job! Almost a year of being a bum but the wait is totally worth it. Especially for me, I turned down two job offers before I accepted this one.

I think I've completely gotten over the UK phase of withdrawals. I sometimes do wish I was still there but a visit there again can totally wait. I am ready to move on and give Manila what it truly deserves.

And oh! I love being single! Sometimes, I do miss having someone to talk to or go out with but the freedom of doing anything you like without having to tell it to him, what a huge relief!! And I do get to hang out with my friends more often which I totally missed. When I get married, if I EVER get married, I am going to retain my maiden name! So anti-macho for my future husband, if ever there's one. But I mean why do women have to follow the norms? Don't let me get started!

Well, that's my March! Not really a madness. But better than February! So tomorrow, April, my birthday month! I am scared out of my wits! That is reserve for another post.

The End is Near

In two days time, I'll be flying back to the Philippines. It's a bittersweet ending when I was just really opening my arms and letting England in.

In the first few weeks of November, I was pretty much stuck inside of the house because my mom had hours of work. I thought for a moment there, my trip just ended. But nearing the last weeks of November, my mom's friend, Tita Gina, started inviting me to their night outs. I really didn't care if I was hanging out with probably menopausal Filipino women. I was glad I was out of the house.

But really, I couldn't thank enough my mom, Estela and Dave for giving me this opportunity to visit this beautiful country, cold but beautiful. You took a chance on me! hahaha I love you both!

The Goffs and Fishers, I am so glad to meet you all in person, not through Yahoo chat or picture messages sent by  mom.

Brighton Photo Fringe, for giving me the opportunity to be one of your volunteers. It opened my eyes to the possibilities of me, becoming an art photographer. So much inspiration to take home with me.

Paula ( My Spanish little sister! )and your mom, coffee after mass! I'll miss it even though we sometimes got lost in translation.

The Filipinas (Tita Lorna, Tita Angie, Tita Dory, Ate Carol, Ate Chari) here in Eastbourne. You crazy women!! Hope to see you again soon!

Tita Gina, Naman!! Thank you really. Inom pa!

Mister Beer, you hardworking man! I will never forget you. You made me feel so special just by looking at me even from across the room. Those bottle green eyes. haaaay

I've been secretly crying and the weather doesn't help at all.  I just don't want leave yet. But yes, the end is near and I can see how it will end. In tears.

Tidings

These past few days were kind of a blur to me.  Some things that were unexpected to happen or should I say, waiting to happen, happened. It was slowly sinking in until last Thursday, news came to me that my highschool ka-barkada is going to be a mother.

And I was ecstatic! We knew all these years that she was going to be the first to be a mom. My whole barkada was so happy that some of us were actually crying, including me. It was overwhelming. You see, we haven't really seen each other for a long time. Like almost a year or two. We were never complete when we had gatherings and coordinating with them was a big pain in the ass (But thank you Elaine!).  So hearing this good news was really a blessing. It's the first baby of the barkada and I just know the baby will spoiled by us, the whole seven of us titas

To Mads and Carlo, Congratulations!! I could not be any happier for the two of you!

Ten years bago naging totoo ang hula :D

To Baby Tols, can't wait to meet you!

To the rest of my barkada, I'll see you on December!! Let us brave the traffic of Zapote Road and visit our party house back in high school, more importantly, visit Mads and have blastin' Christmas!

I  miss and love you all!! <3
